As a locality in Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Washington was nominated for an ‘Innovator of the Year’ award at the General Practice Awards in London held on Thursday 24th November, 2016 for their development of the ‘Common Childhood Illness’ booklet and app.
